About Ben Cook, LPC-MHSP

Ben is a licensed professional counselor (LPC-MHSP) who spent several years working for Rogers Behavioral Health, a leader in the field of OCD and Anxiety treatment, before opening his private practice. He currently works with older adolescents and adults in his practice providing therapy with an extensive focus on the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse. He’s also served as a guest lecturer for Vanderbilt University medical students and residents on the topic of psychotherapy for addictions.

Prior to his work at Rogers, he worked as a therapist at The Ranch in Nunnelly, TN providing residential substance abuse therapy, mental health counseling, and individual and family therapy. He's also a member of the IOCDF (International OCD Foundation).

During his career as a therapist, Ben has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health clinics, community substance abuse treatment facilities, and outpatient therapy clinics. The themes of anxiety and depression have been present in each of them. Anxiety and depression often lead to unhealthy behaviors (avoidance, isolation, etc.) and they tend to interfere with family, careers, and relationships. He's been trained and equipped to help clients achieve the change that they desire.

Ben has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Wake Forest University, where he was educated and trained under leaders in the counseling field. He also spent time as an adjunct instructor for Wake Forest University teaching Family Counseling. He’s passionate about helping people achieve the goals and the changes that they desire in their lives.

Ben lives in Nashville with his wife and son. He loves college football, vintage guitars, and live music.
